Server reset question
What happens if a D3 server runs for more than 2 hours without resetting the level?

Re: Server reset question
I run mine on a 4 hour turn over schedule with no ill effects.
But running servers too long does have an effect.
If you see "double spawns" (one weapon right on top of another weapon), its a sure sign the server needs restarting badly.

Re: Server reset question
Usually it takes like at least 12 hrs until something odd (like double spawns) to happen if the server was not restarted.
However: Level looping / restarting a level within a running main.exe does not prevent issues.
Best practise is to restart the whole server process every couple of hours.
Descentforum.NET server processes are restarted every two hours (if no players are in the game) but I'd say that every 6 hours would be fine as well...
