My first level is finally done!
A quick word of warning: Insane might be a bit on the difficult side but I've tried to make that difficulty as easy as possible with out being ridiculous. (As in I can do it with one or two deaths.
)
Telle what you think.

Tried to open the level in Rebirth for 15 minutes, couldn't. Test it before releasing it please.

Thats wierd. I tested the level quite a few times before I released it. I'll take a look at it and see if there is anything wrong.

I've looked to see if there was a problem but it works completely fine for me.
What version of rebirth are you using?

Well, Rebirth crashed for me after the "prepare for descent" screen, which is quite unusual. This means the mission file is fine and the level has proper compatibility settings. I tried a lot of things though and it still crashed. I'm using the latest stable version of Rebirth (I think?)

I'll try it with the latest version when I can
I use 1.58 atm so it might be a rebirth bug then

0.60 seems to not even be able to start so I can't test on that I'm afraid.
The only workaround I can think of is reverting to 1.58 and then seeing if it works.
I remember a long time ago I was using 0.60 and some levels crashed the game at the prepare for descent screen

Well I'm using 1.59 at the moment, but I really don't feel like downgrading now. Sorry

OK,I actually had to get back to 0.58 as nothing later worked for me after the system reinstall.
So this isn't half bad, especially for a first level. Both the texturing and the geometry are quite good in places.
It's quite buggy though, with the two things I've noticed:
- Errors in segment connections - laser beams disappear in certain segments rather than flying through them, even though there's only space between
- Medium Hulks coming from matcens have screwed up weight - a single Gauss shot sends them flying across half the map
Other than that, the backtracking in the level is quite annoying and tedious, and it's also a bit hard to figure out. I'm not in position to speak about the difficulty and balance, but it appears to be quite unbalanced too. Good luck beating this on Insane without dying! The overuse of matcens is apparent for example. Also, I haven't been able to find the red key anywhere and checked it in the editor and yeah - you forgot to put it in, so there's that...

Thanks for the feedback!
I have no clue why the spawned meduim hulk are feathers.
When I tested the level I had a feeling the back tracking would be quite annoying so that's why there is matcens to keep it fun.
The four matcens in the big room are with hard bots because a casual player would clear all the easier bots out so they are there to refill the area. The next time you would go in there is in the yellow area.
And as for the red key, its in the guppy that shits out smart mines(odd one out kind of thing).
Btw I am eager for feedback on the area with the yellow key as I thought of that there and then.

Updated! It is now a lot easier.
Changes:
Couple of doors changed.
Removed a few matcens.
Changed harder robots for easier robots in matcens and removed a few that were already in the mine.
Removed almost all backtracking.
Removed and therefore changed some triggers.
Made the red key more clear. (Not in a guppy.)
