Santos was long gone. It was just a question of whether another Republican could keep that seat. But even with the immigration issue at the forefront with migrant crime spiking in N.Y. and the huge snow storm, the GOP couldn't muster enough of their base for a win. I guess Dems will drive through the worst blizzard in history for a win, but not Repubs. :P

Well the republicans shot down their own border bill in an extremely public way, showing just how completely disinterested they actually are about solving these problems they constantly complain about and blame on democrats (just like the debt that republicans always increase). Basically from now to November, anytime a republican brings up the border crisis the democrats are going to loudly remind them that they killed their own solution on purpose and to actively make the problem worse.
