One of these days I'll finish a certain D2X-XL level and get someone to make bots for it...
Whatever I just said, I hope you understood it correctly. Understood what I meant, I mean.

For a little while I've been experimenting with Metroidvaina-style Descent.

Ok, just finished the mission.
Design-wise, it's EXCELLENT, the level layouts are made in a truly masterful manner, specially taking in account D2 limits.

However, and although I truly loved most of the mission, from level 22 up to the end, I found it somewhat more frustrating than fun (specially with so many matcens and invisible bots).
Also, I think some of the matcens were a bit 'off', taking in account the robots it created and the size of the rooms. Take the two matcens at the reactor room of level 28 as an example.
After some activations (had to go through that section more than once) the room was TOTALLY FULL of Fatty Jrs. and Seekers, to the point that the models were rendered on top of each other and the robots couldn't even move and got a bit stuck. Too many big robots in such a small room, lol :P
Had to use a couple of valuable Shakers to get rid of the bots and get to the reactor.

But still, I think it's one of the best missions released for D2 so far, the flow of the levels, the design details, the puzzles and the texturing are top quality, and also loved the connection to another game throghout the story. ;)

According to the mn2 file, the first secret level (Chronosphere - map31.rl2,1) is accessed from Level 1 (Infiltraitor - map01.rl2), but DLE doesn't show a secret exit on map01.rl2. How do you get to the first secret level?

Unlike with D1 .msn files, the .mn2 secret level number refers to the first level from which the secret level should be accessible. D2 also has the first secret level marked as "starting from level 1", even though there is no secret level teleporter on level 1 (before you say the builtin mission doesn't have an .mn2, it does; it's inside descent2.hog as d2.mn2).
