There is no code for sidearms regrouping in D2 from what I can tell.
If someone else wants to look, sidearms are enemy ID #30 and modulas are #50.

Re: D2 Single-Player: Plutonian Shores
According to the mn2 file, the first secret level (Chronosphere - map31.rl2,1) is accessed from Level 1 (Infiltraitor - map01.rl2), but DLE doesn't show a secret exit on map01.rl2. How do you get to the first secret level? Unlike with D1 .msn files, the .mn2 secret level number refers to the first ...

Re: Intel Equivalent of AMD Sempron?
While this is by no means an expert opinion, I would probably compare a Sempron 145 (from 2010) to Celerons from 2008-09. A Sempron 145 would seem to be almost equivalent to an Intel Celeron E3200, with the major difference that the E3200 has 2 cores to the 145's 1 core (but the single-core ...

Re: [D1 Singleplayer / Co-op] Quotiency
Another great level set! I'm currently on level 9. It's been a long time since I've played a strictly D1 mod. I forgot how crunchy the old sound effects were, it's been a big nostalgia trip. Also a reminder how much I really prefer the OG Descent color palette. I'm only about halfway through, but ...

Re: [D1 Singleplayer / Co-op] Quotiency
Final thoughts on Quotiency: The geometry, texturing, and overall level design are great. Each mine is large and challenging. Boss levels are fairly straightforward and not too difficult. There are a few cool surprises and traps. However, I feel this campaign only makes sense as co-op, and even ...

If you were playing an XL level (not a standard D1 or D2 one), XL lets you add "shake mine" triggers that shake the mine in much the same way earthshakers would.

A new 22+3 level singleplayer / co-op set for Descent 1 developed over this year (2021). I designed most of the levels, but one secret level has been contributed by LightWolf . Current version: v1.1.1 (2021-12-29) Mission download is available on DXMA: Here Some screenshots included as attachments.

Re: Most Authentic Resolution
The original Descent 2 DOS version was mainly designed with 320x240 and 640x480 resolutions in mind which was fairly standard for software rendered games of the time. However it could be run at almost any resolution via command line switches if the monitor supported it, all the way up to 2048x1536 ...

Re: secret level saving
Descent 2 never allowed saving in secret levels; that was a change from Descent 1, which did. There's a technical reason behind it (kind of), but it was probably also made with the fact that D2 secret levels are a lot more puzzle-oriented in mind.

Re: [Linux] Can’t compile dxx-rebirth
Looks like a Rebirth bug - common/include/physfsx.h has a "useless cast" yet -Werror=useless-cast is in the compiler flags. I'd report it by making an issue over here . The fact that size_t is unsigned int is a hint that your system is 32-bit - maybe that hasn't been tested after some change.

Vertigo bots aren't showing up in my levels and I'm not sure why. Running D2x as usual. Just a small update: I'm on track to complete the rest of the levels I've reserved for myself in a week or two (or maybe three). The new version is now up at https://sectorgame.com/dxma/. It's still being worked on, but should be mostly functional.
EDIT: Please contact me via PM if you want the missions you have added to be moved under your account. Currently most of the missions are under the DMDB placeholder account.

Re: Matcen spawning bots with specific behaviours
In Descent 2, it's stored in the robot info within the .HAM as "Default AI" (how D2W calls it, anyway, the internal name is "robot_info.behavior"). It's probably possible to override it per-level with a .HXM, but configuring it individually for each matcen isn't possible.

I'm getting a generic "unable to start correctly" error out of the Rebirth build you posted. If the error code is 0xc000007b, that means you have the 32-bit DLLs and thus you'll need a 32-bit build (or 64-bit DLLs, if you have a 64-bit environment). However, the patch was just recently merged into ...

I was asked to do a level for this, I'm told. It'll probably end up being level 9 in the Solar System, but it's delayed for me until I finish my other work, so I'm not 100% sure if that spot should be reserved for me just yet.
