Re: Sending large files?
I use teamviewer a lot for this, there are times at work, I work for the local school district, where I need to access a blocked page, so I remote into my server at home, download the file, save it to the server and transfer it using the teamviewer file transfer, it makes it really nice especially ...

Re: Weird Al does a Lady Gaga parody
Welcome to two months ago: http://alyankovic.wordpress.com/the-gaga-saga/ http://alyankovic.wordpress.com/2011/04/20/gaga-update/ tl;dr - Al had a parody idea and asked Gaga for permission to write it and donate profits to Human Rights Campaign. Audio balancing for Media Center
So on my Media Center, I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, and having XBMC as my Media Center software to play my Movies, TV Shows, Music, and NES, SNES, N64 games. A problem I run into is a bunch of my Video's and TV shows were ripped at different Audio levels, so I could be watching ...

So Krom, let me pick your brain on this, so I get what your saying as far as the software RAID and using FreeNAS for the software RAID setup. So for me, right now I don't have a spare box to a free NAS setup, and a dedicated box for a HTPC. So right now, would you suggest ditching the hardware RAID ...

Yeah right now I am planning on moving the direction of having a low powered HTPC, and a NAS for data, the machine that is my current HTPC was my old gaming rig, and surprisingly it is pretty quiet. So as of right now until I can get the money to move to that kind of setup? Would you say my best bet ...

Re: Need help with VMware Player
VMs are good for a whole lot more than "pirating software", for instance I test ran the DBBs conversion to phpbb 3.x in a virtual machine. A VM makes a good test environment/sandbox for almost anything software related. I also use VMs to isolate the host from applications that I only have a one ...

Re: Need help with VMware Player
What I normally do with my VMs is I do most of my Torrents in VMs, and test any app or movie in it, also run a virus scan on the downloads I do before I transfer them to my PC.
I also usually run any apps I havent used before in a VM just to make sure it works and if its something I want installed.

Thenior,
Thanks for the heads up, luckily I don't need much range on the router, I mainly needed it for the Gigabit speeds, but just from what I have read, I like all the settings you can do on it, looking forward to it when it gets here.
