I use Symantec Endpoint Protection. It has a 100% detection rate and has continuous updating. It also is very light. Better yet, the license never expires for unmanaged client installations. See here.

According to the live stream, it seems like Interplay is not the publisher. The only involvement with Interplay is that they gave Descendent Studios the rights to use the name. As such, it seems like DS has full range of freedom. They shouldn't be held back by Interplay. And to clear up a few things ...

What begs the next question. L-ee-nux or L-ii-nux. That is a misuse of "begging the question." Begging the question is a logical fallacy that assumes the conclusion. And it would be L-in-ux, as in "in". And as for the OP, I leave this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERykpJZBgyQ

I'm not against teaching kids how to shoot. I was in the Boy Scouts myself and loved shooting. But I am against kids owning guns. People need to be responsible adults before they can possess a firearm. That said, I am all for the freedom to bear arms, seeing that freedom as a necessary form of ...

We need a completely free internet without restriction; for it is ...

Ultimately, I do agree with you tunnelcat. Tradition means nothing without love. The proof of this is greatly evident in the New Testament when Jesus abandoned tradition for love (working on the Sabbath, mixing with the unclean, and countless more instances).

I did't say they weren't Catholic. Catholicism is less about principles and more about community (in order to be a member), but that community is still based on principles (in order to flourish). We don't consider the Pope a god or even someone to be placed above everyone. The reason we honor him is because he acts as the lowest servant on earth, the servant of all who holds the responsibility to serve us correctly in guiding our faith. No Cardinal wants to be Pope because a Pope is not a ...

Re: Does morality require God?
Morality says that there are some things that we should or should not do, even if we don't want to. If I have a bad heart with 24 hours to live, why shouldn't I take someone else's, especially if I want to live? How would the unity of things' parts morally compel me not to? Good question. Such an ...

No. My point is that a quality of a form is its unity of its parts. Without that unity, the form disappears. Thus, that unity is the form's greatest good, allowing it to be a form at all.

To be unified is recognized as good. Among other things. Is it better if you lost your form as human and became a smudge on the side of a road? Is it better for my computer to lose its form, having smashed it against the sidewalk and see its parts broken apart? Is it better for society to abandon ...

When a religion reaches out to the prostitute, the tax collector, the soldier, the poor, the possessed ...

Not that God created the principle, but is the principle itself, or rather the power of the principle. The principle, as can be grasped by the intellect, holds no power in itself, for it is just a saying; but it points to the power responsible for intellection. I do not think God is a being, or ...

Re: Does morality require God?
I guess I'll weigh in on this issue. To answer this question, we need to first develop our view of God. If God be some being floating in the heavens who commands right and wrong, then no, morality does not require God, for God would just hold a say on right and wrong. He wouldn't be the definition ...

Guns have nothing to do with this. Evil people will always find ways to kill our human family; they have been doing it since they picked up a stick. Instead of taking our rage out on guns or even the gunman, we need to change our emotions and be thoughtful of all those who lost their lives. Don't ...
