Meathead, your statement isn't entirely accurate. Science can also affect how people see the world. Take, for example, the proof of the heliocentric model of the solar system. That changed many people's views about the world and their place in it, and it may have also made some people question their ...

Kevin just posted here on the 10th and said that he's continuing work. I have a pretty good feeling that we're finally going to see something happen .
Edit: Why exactly isn't HTML enabled on this board? I had to go look up the code, whereas I have the HTML link code memorized.

Three cheers for Sedna our 10th planet. Dedman, if you read further, Sedna's not classified as an official planet; it's a planetoid, which is another thing entirely. According to what I read, astronomers have no set definition of what a planet is, so there is some debate. Many agree, however, that ...

That's not true, Duper. I've upgraded to 1.4 straight from 1.0 on several occasions, and I've never experienced any problems. As for Mercenary, I believe that it automatically installed the 1.3 patch, so it's best to install Mercenary and then upgrade to 1.4. Otherwise, you'll end up installing an ...

The Silmarillion isn't as coherent of a story as either The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings. In fact, it's more of an historical epic than a single story. It includes many substories and characters over several hundred years. It is a truly amazing work, but I don't think there's any way it could be ...

That was probably the best episode of Enterprise this season, and one of the best since the show began. I was sitting on the edge of my seat until the very end of the episode. It'll be a real pain waiting six weeks for the follow-up, although that new show "Game Over" that'll be filling in the time ...

I just saw the movie earlier today. Absolutely incredible. The best adjective I could use to describe it is "powerful". I still need to sit down and reflect about it, but I can already say that it has deeply affected me. I didn't think that it was overly gory or bloody; these elements just helped ...

I think they have, Bash. Their claims seem almost completely unfounded, to say the least. Also, most of the points that Jewish leaders have addressed, such as the role of the Sanhedrin and the high priest in Jesus' death or the line, "His blood be on us and our children," are taken directly from the ...

Roid, I've been attending Mass for 17 years, and I've never heard or experienced that sentiment. http://www.descentbb.net/ubb/tongue.gif And no Lothar, I haven't seen a lot of that type of art recently either. P.S. By the way, I truly think that psychoanalysis, and psychology in general, is almost pure BS. I challenge any psychologist in the world to make a psychological profile of me. Trust me, it ain't gonna happen.

I've read the first two books in the series, and so far I can't say I enjoy them all that much. I was just thinking along the lines of the closest one to you at the moment. Something like the "Find a robot" command, except specified for Stormtroopers.
